Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Anumi(the “Service”), an AI-powered anime avatar generator available at anumi.app. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by the Anumi team (“Anumi”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Payment processing is handled by Polar Software Inc. as our Merchant of Record. AI generation is performed using OpenAI’s API. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of sub-processors.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 16 years oldin the European Economic Area, UK, or any jurisdiction with an equivalent age of digital consent. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have a parent or guardian’s permission.

3. Accounts

We use one-time codes (OTP) sent to your email instead of passwords. You are responsible for keeping your email inbox secure — anyone who can read your inbox can sign in to your Anumi account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Credits and payment

• The Service operates on credit packs. Each credit unlocks one anime avatar plus its bundled deliverables (stickers, mockups, profile crops).
• Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change. Changes do not affect credits you already own.
• Credits do not expire once granted to your wallet.
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash outside of the refund cases described in our Refund Policy.
• Failed generations are automatically refunded back to your wallet by our system.

5. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not, and will not allow others to:

• Upload images that depict minors in sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate contexts. This is a hard line: violations are reported to law enforcement where applicable.
• Upload sexually explicit material, gore, graphic violence, self-harm, terrorism, or hate-speech imagery.
• Upload photos of people who have not consented to having their likeness processed by the Service.
• Upload copyrighted material you do not have the right to use — including but not limited to celebrities, fictional characters, and copyrighted artwork.
• Attempt to bypass our content-moderation, rate-limit, or authentication systems, or otherwise reverse-engineer the Service.
• Resell, redistribute, or use the Service to operate a competing product.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, impersonate, or deceive any person.

We use automated content-moderation systems (OpenAI Moderation and others) to enforce this section. Uploads that fail moderation are blocked and flagged for admin review; reviewed violations are removed from our storage within 5 days of the block decision. Repeat violators may have their accounts suspended without refund.

6. Content ownership and licensing

Your inputs

You retain all rights to selfies and other inputs you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process those inputs solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you — which means transmitting them to our AI sub-processor for stylisation and storing them temporarily for moderation and audit purposes (see Privacy Policy for retention windows).

Your outputs

You own the avatars, stickers, and other deliverables we generate for you. You may use them for any lawful purpose — personal, commercial, anywhere — without paying additional royalties.

Our brand

The Anumi name, logo, and visual identity are our intellectual property. You may not use them without written permission, except to credit us when sharing a generated image.

7. AI disclaimers

AI image generation is probabilistic. We do not guarantee any specific aesthetic outcome, that the output will resemble you, that it will be free of artifacts, or that any two runs will be consistent. Our automatic-refund system covers failed generations (where the model returns no usable image) but does not cover dissatisfaction with the stylistic result.

8. Service availability

We provide the Service on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We may impose rate limits, modify features, or take the Service offline for maintenance at any time. Where a planned outage affects paid users, we will post notice on our @anumi_app social account at least 24 hours in advance.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion via [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your activity poses a security risk to the Service. Termination does not require notice in cases of suspected illegal activity.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your inputs, your generated outputs, or your breach of these Terms. We may assume the defense of any such claim at our own expense.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will email you (using the email associated with your wallet) at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation will be submitted to the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction whose laws give you the right to sue in your local courts, this clause does not override that right.
